November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

In November we recognize the over 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s Disease. It is not a normal part of aging to develop Alzheimer’s, rather it is a progressive brain disorder. Healthy aging suggestions include exercising, limiting alcohol, quitting smoking, eating a healthy diet, getting adequate sleep, and maintaining a healthy blood pressure. At this time, there is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s Disease. If concerned for yourself or a loved one you can have a memory screening at your doctor’s office.
