Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
An estimated 2.9 million men are currently diagnosed with prostate cancer in the United States and one of those men will die every 18 minutes. This makes prostate cancer the second leading cause of death in American men.
Although all men are at risk of developing prostate cancer, those at highest risk are 65 years of age and older or have African American ethnicity. Luckily, the survival rate has increased significantly over the past 5 years thanks to early detection and advanced treatment.
