Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
Ovarian cancer occurs in the ovaries of people born of the female sex. Usually there are two ovaries the size of an almond on each side of the uterus and they are responsible for reproduction.
Symptoms of ovarian cancer are very hard to detect because of their commonality with less serious problem such as indigestion and bloating. Due to this, ovarian cancer may not be diagnosed until it has already spread to other parts of the pelvis or abdomen.
Treatment for ovarian cancer depends on its stage and a person’s overall health but the best chance of removing it is with chemotherapy or surgery.
