Thankful Times

The Thanksgiving holiday has always been one of my favorite times of year.  It is a day that gives me the opportunity to slow down and be thankful for the advantages I have been provided.  On November 28th, family, friends and food will take center stage in my life.  The nostalgia of simpler times will flood my household as I reconnect with loved ones and show humble gratitude for my many blessings.  In addition to all of the traditional festivities, it is a time of National remembrance and a celebration of two cultures on the verge of social reform sharing an autumn feast.

During this season, I believe John Fitzgerald Kennedy stated it best, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”  This quote deeply resonates with me due to the career that I have chosen and the situations I am exposed to as a result.  I sincerely think JFK understood that all people have a fundamental wish to pay good fortune forward.

This Thanksgiving let us all pledge to take a step back and examine all of the positive people, influences, and memories we have been given this year!  I wish everyone a healthy, happy and safe holiday!
